Unseen yet Felt 

(Musings of a woman)

 

Unbidden, you slip into my mind’s embrace

Silencing all else with your quiet grace

 

My pen stirs to life at your tender call

Etching your portrait upon my heart’s wall

 

Your presence, though light, bears a weight untold

A burden too precious for hands to hold

 

But soon you fade, a murmured hymn’s refrain

Swept by the wind, yet destined to rise again

 

No herald of your coming, no whispered prayer

Yet always, you’ll find me, patiently waiting there
